43, including 37 kids drowned while taking holy dip during 'Jivitputrika' festival in Bihar

NEW DELHI: A minimum of 43 folks, together with 37 kids, drowned and 3 others went lacking whilst taking a holy dip in rivers and ponds in separate incidents all the way through the ‘Jivitputrika‘ competition in Bihar, the state government stated in a commentary on Thursday.
The incidents came about in 15 districts of the state all the way through the competition hung on Wednesday. All the way through the ‘Jivitputrika’ competition, ladies speedy for the well-being in their kids.
“A total of 43 bodies have been recovered so far.Further search operation is on,” a commentary issued by means of the Crisis Control Division (DMD) stated.
Leader minister Nitish Kumar introduced an exgratia of Rs 4 lakh for the following of family members of the deceased.
The method of offering the exgratia has begun and members of the family of 8 deceased have already gained it, the commentary stated.
The incidents of drowning had been reported from East and West Champaran, Nalanda, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Buxar, Siwan, Rohtas, Saran, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Gopalganj and Arwal districts.
